Scholarships
Achieve the Degree Scholarships
Achieve the Degree Scholarships include both merit and need-based scholarships. Newly admitted undergraduate degree-seeking students can expect to receive $2,000 in their first semester while awards for current students range from $1,100 to $3,000 per semester.
SCPS Fellows Program
The SCPS Fellows scholarship program matches the contributions of an employer's tuition assistance program up to $5,250. Any SCPS student, regardless of the degree or certificate they are pursuing, can apply for the Fellows Program.

As part of our EdAssist-LUC education partnership, Loyola extends a 10% tuition reduction to employees of EdAssist member companies, applicable to over 100 degree and professional certificate programs.

The Returning Rambler Scholarship covers 25% of a student's tuition rate for undergraduate alumni enrolling in their first eligible credit-bearing post-baccalaureate certificate program, endorsement, an accelerated bachelor’s to master's program, or master's degree program.

SCPS offers a number of scholarship opportunities for graduate students, including awards covering 20% of total tuition costs.Award letters are sent to eligible students upon admission.
Jean Hellman Ryan Paralegal Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship is named for Jean Hellman Ryan, founding director of Loyola’s Institute for Paralegal Studies, and funded by her Loyola classmate, attorney, Kevin Conway. This scholarship is open to students completing a post-baccalaureate certificate in paralegal studies at Loyola University Chicago.
Golden Door Scholars
Golden Door Scholars, an external organization, provides undocumented students with the financial aid and support needed to invest in their education and define their futures.

Veterans Educational Benefits
SCPS participates in all applicable federal programs for veterans, service persons, and their dependents, including various GI Bill programs, as well as the Yellow Ribbon Program, a partnership with the VA to assist with tuition funding. In addition, some military learning experiences and training programs might be eligible for bachelor’s degree credits through the American Council on Education.

Financial Aid

Scholarships
SCPS students can pursue a variety of internal and external scholarships to help cover educational expenses. In fact, 100 percent of our undergraduate degree students who apply for SCPS scholarships receive aid. Learn More
Knowledge-based Credit
SCPS students can earn college credit toward graduation for various qualified learning experiences, including past college-level courses and select training programs. In addition, students can earn credit for passing scores on DSST and CLEP exams as well as credit. Through the American Council on Education (ACE), which provides recommendations for academic credit for professional exams or training, military credit, police training, and other select learning experiences. Students will work with their advisor to identify the knowledge-based credit that can reduce cost and their time to degree or certificate completion.
